Welcome to GatEvo. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GatEvo device, mobile app, cloud platform, and associated features (“Services”). By installing, activating or using GatEvo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Services.

1. About GatEvo
GatEvo provides smart access control hardware and software designed for gates, garages, doors, shutters, barriers and lighting systems. Services include:
- GatEvo Connect AI hardware
- GatEvo mobile applications
- Access Link virtual keypad
- Automation and I/O Manager
- Optional Pro & Pro+ plans
- Call-to-Open telephone number services
- AI Assistant (Pro+ Plan)
- Cloud connectivity and OTA updates
2. Eligibility
To use the Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be the property owner or have installation permission
- Ensure the system is installed safely
3. Installation Requirements
GatEvo strongly recommends installation by a qualified technician.
Incorrect installation may cause:
- Motor damage
- Safety hazards
- Connectivity issues
- Incorrect behaviour
- Invalid warranty
Users and installers must follow:
- EN12453 gate safety standards
- GatEvo wiring instructions
- Local electrical regulations
4. Free Features (Included with Every Device)
GatEvo is not subscription-focused. The core system is a one-time purchase.
Free features include:
- App control
- Cloud access
- 25 app users
- 5 permanent Access Links
- Access Link one-use codes
- Geo-Opening
- BLE control
- Lighting control
- Scenes & automation (I/O Manager)
- Safety logic
- Diagnostics & logs
- Installer tools
- OTA firmware updates
These features remain free indefinitely.
5. Optional Paid Features (Pro & Pro+)
Pro and Pro+ are optional and billed monthly. Users may upgrade or cancel anytime.
GatEvo Pro includes:
- Unlimited Access Links
- Unlimited app users
- Call-to-Open (UK local number)
- Extended expiry controls
- Multi-output calling
- Advanced cloud logs
- LTE roaming support (if LTE module fitted)
GatEvo Pro+ includes:
- All Pro features
- AI answering phone calls
- AI voice commands
- AI diagnostics & system analysis
GatEvo may charge a small fee for telecom-based features because they rely on third-party services.
6. Account & User Management
Users are responsible for:
- Keeping login details secure
- Managing Access Links and permissions
- Revoking access when no longer needed
- Ensuring correct user roles
GatEvo is not responsible for misuse caused by shared devices or user negligence.
7. Safety & Compliance
Users and installers must ensure:
- Safety edges are working
- Photocells are installed and aligned
- Gate/door operators comply with safety rules
- No unsafe automation is created
GatEvo provides tools, but final safety responsibility remains with the installer and property owner.
8. Connectivity Requirements
GatEvo requires one of the following:
- Ethernet
- Wi-Fi
- BLE (local mode only)
- Optional LTE
Connectivity issues caused by customer networking equipment or provider outages are not GatEvo’s responsibility.
9. Cloud Services
GatEvo uses cloud servers to enable remote features. We strive for high uptime but cannot guarantee:
- Zero downtime
- Perfect connectivity
- Compatibility with all networks
Maintenance, updates or outages may temporarily affect functionality.
10. Firmware & Updates
Your device receives OTA updates for:
- Security
- Bug fixes
- Feature improvements
Updates may occur automatically; some features may evolve over time.
11. Restrictions
You must NOT:
- Tamper with GatEvo hardware
- Reverse engineer software
- Disable safety features
- Attempt to bypass cloud security
- Use GatEvo for illegal access
- Modify firmware without permission
Violations may result in access restrictions.
12. Warranty
GatEvo covers defects in materials and workmanship under its standard warranty.
Warranty does not cover:
- Incorrect installation
- Water ingress
- Power surges
- Lightning damage
- Faulty safety wiring
- Physical damage
- Corrosion
- Unauthorised modifications

13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
GatEvo is not liable for:
- Damages caused by incorrect installation
- Loss of access
- Motor damage
- Personal injury from unsafe installations
- Business interruption
- Misconfigured automation
- Third-party network failures
Your installer is responsible for safe installation.
14. User Responsibility
Users must:
- Maintain their gate/door/operator
- Keep photocells/safety edges functional
- Ensure GatEvo is not used unsafely
- Keep access secure
- Apply updates
15. Privacy
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using GatEvo, you consent to GatEvo’s data handling practices.
16. Changes to Terms
GatEvo may update these Terms to reflect:
- Legal requirements
- Feature updates
- Service improvements

17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
